Chris Lewicki
Chris Lewicki has been intimately involved with the lifecycle of the Mars Exploration Rovers and the Phoenix Mars Lander. He has been part of the system engineering development and served on the teams for assembly, test and launch operations for these missions. He was also Flight Director of Spirit and Opportunity, and the Surface Mission Manager for Phoenix. He recently left the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to pursue private interests. Chris holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Arizona. He served as Chairman of the National Board of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-USA) from 1995-1997, and as President of the UA chapter of SEDS and Director of Special Projects for SEDS-USA from 1993-1995. Chris started his "career" with SEDS his freshman year when he was elected to the office of Vice President in his first few weeks at college. He lives in Monrovia, California, with his wife and three cats. He enjoys wood working, home improvement, and running internet servers in his spare time.
