Brant Adams

Adams is a Vice President of Jacobs Technology and the General Manager for the ROME Group, which provides research operations, maintenance, engineering, and IT services to NASA Langley Research Center in support of world-class aerospace research. Prior to ROME, he was the Director of the Advanced Technology segment for Jacobs Technology's Technology Group. He also served as Technology Group's Market Principal for Aeropropulsion and Space Systems. Before joining Jacobs Technology in 2000, he served as NASA's Manager of Non-Pressurized Flight Hardware for the International Space Station at the Space Station Program Office in Houston. Before working on the Space Station effort, he was the NASA Advanced Solid Rocket Motor (ASRM) Ground Test Manager at Stennis Space Center, MS, where he established ground test requirements for a large solid rocket motor test facility and supervised facility construction. He spent several years of his early career with Jacobs Technology, serving as a test engineer for commercial satellite and military motors at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC). He received the NASA Exceptional Service Medal (1999) for his work on managing the final design/build review of Space Station hardware. He also received the Manned Flight Awareness Award (1990) for his work on the Space Shuttle Main Engine plume simulation. He received his BS degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Technological University (1980).
