Darrell Cain Award
In honor of the late SEDS-USA board member, Darrell Cain, who was and remains an inspiration to his fellow SEDS members and all those who look to the stars.
This award is given to one student who is an embodiment of the SEDS vision of empowering young people to participate and make an impact in the exploration of space.
Criteria
- Inspires other students to be passionate about space.
- Has had national SEDS involvement.
- Has had a space impact outside of SEDS.

Todd B. Hawley Award
In honor of the late Todd B. Hawley, co-founder of SEDS, whose leadership and initiative continue to shine on.
This award is for a student who has shown excellence in student leadership. They must have proven themselves as an exemplary member of SEDS as well as in the larger space community.
Submission deadline is Oct 25th PST.
Jeff Bezos Award
In honor of Jeff Bezos, a SEDS Princeton Alumni who has continuously supported SEDS through his non-profit Club for the Future.
This award is for a student who has proven themselves as an innovative and forward-thinking leader at the local chapter level of SEDS as well as in the larger space industry. This student works tirelessly for the betterment of their chapter and local community, planning for the long term and aiming for the sky.

Chapter Awards
Each year we offer two awards for chapters that have made a difference in the area of expanding access to space.
Major Diversity Award: Has your chapter been greatly effective at bringing in students from diverse areas of study rather than those traditionally associated with space? Tell us how your chapter has increased the inclusion of diverse majors through direct initiatives.
Gender Diversity Award: This award is given to the Chapter most effective at maintaining a diverse gender balance through initiatives and programs. This chapter has demonstrated their commitment to overcoming a major issue in the space industry of ensuring equal representation, participation, and opportunities for all genders.
