Research Symposium

The SpaceVision Research Symposium lets you showcase your chapter’s (or your own) research to the SEDS community. It’s a great way to highlight SEDS accomplishments and get a deeper understanding of cutting-edge research.

Two other reasons to sign up:

  1. Going to a conference to present your research is a great way to get your school to help fund the conference trip.
  2. Top three projects will get $$$.
Research symposium: Showcase individual or chapter research through a 5-minute presentation to our judges.

Business Pitch

How it works:

  • Team sign-up will be available a few days before SpaceVision.
  • The prompt will be released after the opening keynote on Nov. 9th.
  • Your team creates a business idea to answer the prompt.
  • Teaming up with other chapters is allowed.

What you need to prepare:

  • Based on your business idea, create an oral/slide presentation proposing the startup to the judges.
  • Your team must be able to answer what needs your idea meets, who will be the main customers, challenges, general funding, etc.
  • You will be allotted 5 minutes to present, and 3 minutes for questions.
  • Presentations will take place on the second day of the conference.
