We’re so glad you’re joining us in Seattle for SpaceVision 2025! This page provides an overview of travel logistics and things to do to make the most of your trip to the Emerald City.
The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) is the easiest airport to use if you are flying in.
The Seattle Light Rail (1 Line route [Stations | Link light rail stations | Sound Transit]) runs directly from SeaTac (south of the city) to our venue on the University of Washington Campus (just north of downtown). This trip takes ~45 minutes and costs $3.00. You can purchase tickets on your phone through the Transit Go Ticket App [How to pay | Sound Transit].
The bus and light rail systems can also take you downtown in ~25 minutes via the 1 Line for $3.00. Uber/Lyft are available but can be expensive. The light rail is certainly the best option for airport-to-venue travel.

Enrich your experience by visiting the local art scene, exploring food, and tuning into the nature that envelops the city.
The downtown Seattle Waterfront contains the famous Pike Place Market, Ferris wheel and waterfront boardwalk. Nearby is the Space Needle, an icon of Seattle featuring the world’s first and only revolving glass floor.
We recommend walking through UW Campus (pronounced “u-dub”) if weather permits- there are great views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier on clear days.
Nearby University Village is an upscale mall for shopping and food; this is accessible by walking or bus.
Gas Works Park is a long walk or short bus’s ride from campus. This park is situated across Lake Union from downtown/Space Needle and has the best skyline views.
