Jack Kiraly is the Chief of Advocacy at The Planetary Society, the world's largest independent space advocacy organization. He got his start knocking doors and organizing communities in electoral politics. Today he leads the Society's work in Washington, D.C., where he executes the organization's advocacy strategy, maintains relationships with policymakers, builds coalitions across the space community, and runs the Day of Action, which brings hundreds of space advocates to Capitol Hill each year. He holds degrees in political science and public policy from American University. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife, their dog Laika, and far too many houseplants.
